Eisteddfod;
The National Eisteddfod of Wales can be traced back to 1176 when it is said that the first Eisteddfod was held, under the auspices of Lord Rhys, at his castle in Cardigan. There he held a grand gathering to which were invited poets and musicians from all over the country. A chair at the Lord's table was awarded to the best poet and musician, a tradition that prevails in the modern day National Eisteddfod.

National Botanic Garden of Wales;
The National Botanic Garden of Wales exists to develop a viable world-class national botanic garden dedicated to the research and conservation of biodiversity and its sustainable utilisation, to lifelong learning and to the enjoyment of the visitor
In such a short time period, they have developed into one of the most fascinating gardens in the UK. They have the most visited garden in Wales and are helping to conserve some of the rarest plants in the world.

Aberglasney House and Gardens;
Spectacularly set in the beautiful Tywi valley of Carmarthenshire, Aberglasney Gardens have been an inspiration to poets since 1477. The story of Aberglasney spans many centuries, but, the house's origins are still shrouded in obscurity.

The National Trust - Dinefwr Park;
18th-century landscape park, enclosing a medieval deer park which is home to more than 100 fallow deer and a small herd of White Park Cattle. THere is also a number of scenic walks including a wooded boardwalk, 17th-century house with showrooms and exhibition rooms.
